The Builders Association of India operates mainly through : 1. The General Council, which is the policy making body. It consists of the office bearers, the Chairman of all BAI Centres, the Trustees of the Association, representatives of the patron members and affiliated association members, all subscribing past presidents of Builders Association of India and the representatives of BAI Centres in the manner set out in the Rules and Regulations of the Association. The General Council meets at least three times in a year.
2. The Managing Committee which manages the affairs of Builders Association of India concurrently consists, besides office bearers and immediate past Presidents, members elected by the elected members of the General Council, representatives of trustees, affiliated associations, patron members and the members co-opted. The Managing Committee meets more often, once in 6 to 8 weeks, and reviews the problems faced by the construction sector and decides about the course of action to be adopted. The General Council and the Managing Committee are assisted by various Advisory Commissions, principal among them being :

The periodical is devoted to familiarise members with inhouse news and contemporary technical and administrative information like taxation matters, arbitration, labour laws, etc. The journals editorial policy is flexible enough to enable the members express their views or to suggest reforms. The periodical has been regularly published since 1968.
